Portrait of Gierma

In this painting, I just used a stabilo pencil and titanium white acrylic paint. I love to be able to use just these two things to create such a great range of values. For some reason, Gierma looks older in this painting, like he's 18! For the life of me, I could not figure out what it is that made him look older!

Tribal Painting One of the assignments for Misty's class was to do a tribal painting. I choose to paint an Omo boy from Ethiopia. The wave emerged after I painted him.

Reflection This painting started out as an abstract background. I saw in it, a 3/4 profile that I turned into a self portrait. The splash of color toward the bottom of the painting was already there, so I turned it into a heart pendant. Then the window with Morgan, Parker and...
